Parent & Toddler Group

The Parent & Toddler Group continues to hold 2 sessions each Wednesday during term time (10am to 11.30am and l.0pm to 2.30pm). During the Summer Holidays we hold a morning session only. Each week about 40 children come in the morning and 20 children in the afternoon. 

We have a committee of 5 people who run the groups, but as we can't all be there for both sessions, we often find it difficult!. So if there are any parents who would like to become involved, you would be very welcome - it's great fun for both parents and children! 

We are still fortunate that "Auntie Vi" comes each week to prepare drinks & biscuits for the children & adults. We have held a party at the end of each term (thank you to Francis Hill and Glen Atkinson - we shall miss him - who played important parts at our Christmas Parties!). Funds have been boosted by a Christmas Raffle and Cake Sales at the end of each half term.

Over the last year the Toddler group has been able to make a sizeable donation towards the cost of the new nappy changing facility in the toilet area, and a donation towards the work of S.A.C.C.A.A. - a Hertfordshire based Counselling Agency that works with sexually abused children. The children also made contributions to enable us to fill 13 shoe boxes for the Christmas Shoe Box Appeal. We have also been able to replace some of the older toys that have become worn, as well as create a farm yard table.

We were all very sad to say goodbye to committee members Juliet Harper, (who moved to Devon) and Charlotte Hulm (who moved to Eaton Socon) during the year, both been involved with the Toddler Group for 4 years and their contributions are missed by everyone.
