Davy Cattanach Musician / songwriter from Aberdeen in the North of Scotland, who during the 90's played percussion with Scottish fiddle band the 'Old Blind Dogs'. Following six critically aclaimed albums and eight years touring Europe and America with the Dogs Davy became a well known player in Scotland's vibrant Traditional music scene. Davy is also very much a contemporary musician in the singer songwriter mode as can be heard from his debut solo album "Dancing in the Shadows" (Lochshore CDLDL 1252) This is an eclectic selection of song writing material drawn from his musical experiences at home and abroad. In January 2003 recording with his own band the 'Pictones' he released Jellytown which quickly demonstrated a surprising range of song writing ability and music skills. An exceptional Scottish talent producing music for an International audience. Reviews: "Coming from the icy North Sea city of Aberdeen, the balmy sub-tropical feel is truly unbelievable." ( Modern Dance Review) "Seriously funky grooves." - (Stepping Out) "Sultry warm light-hearted conga's, and close-your-eyes cradle your head singing..." (Radio Central. Antwerp.) "Lyrics., that melt with the music to entwine you in the stuff you'd hear in the deepest of your dreams..."(Anon) Within weeks of release of "Jellytown" as on the Internet it had reached number 6 in the UK mp3 charts.
