Theoretical Contributions

Yves Gallot has prepared a paper on the relative concentration of primes in the series k.2^n+/-1

Payam Samidoost shows that primorials p# are not the most efficient k values which eliminate all factors less than p, for either + or -1. However primorials are the most efficient at eliminating all factors less than p for both + and -1

One of the targets of the group is to make a contribution to the Ray Ballinger Suggestion, shown at the prime puzzle pages. Here, the most populous k.2^n+/-1 series are listed. It is necessary to beat both number of primes discovered as well as the indicator n/ln(n) It is likely that a primoproth series will top the league before too long. Current status of most populous series is shown on the records pages.

Here you will find correspondence between Phil Carmody and Jack Brennan connected with the choice of indicator in the Ray Ballinger Suggestion.
