Skills for Life

The Skills for Life national tests in adult literacy and numeracy are part of the National Qualifications Framework and are recognised throughout the country. You can fill any gaps in your CV by obtaining a level equivalent to GCSE by undertaking this free course with us.

The literacy, numeracy and communication tests are not like going back to school.

We prefer an informal learning environment that provides a fun atmosphere to learn whilst challenging you with individual quizzes and practice sessions. The tests themselves are very much like the driving theory test where you choose the correct answer from four possibilities and you only take them when you are ready.

The National Tests for Adult Literacy and Numeracy are directly based on the national standards for adult Literacy and Numeracy, allowing learners, tutors and employers to have a clear understanding of what has been achieved and value the resulting qualifications.

The aim of the communication qualification course is to help you to develop and demonstrate your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills which includes the use of images for different purposes. This great qualification will help you develop and apply those skills you already have, focused to your work setting.
