IT know how?

When you take out a broadband package you will sign up to a deal that may offer you upto 8Mbps.

Remember this means Megabits and 8 Mbps = 1 Megabyte = 1024 KBps = 8192Kbps.

Remember that 1 Megabyte (MB) equals 8 Megabits (Mb) equals 1024 Kilobytes (KB) equals 8192 Kilobits (Kb).

Therefore a 2Mb connection should equal 256kbps download.

So, in theory you would expect that an 8Mb connection will download from the Internet at speeds upto 1024kbps!

But you find you are only getting something like 70mbps. What's going on? Ask your Internet Service Provider!
