Temporary and Permanent Staff Business Services plc

Following a "best value" review provided the board of this UK £650 million turnover plc with recommendations on better ways of sourcing certain operating costs giving rise to immediate rebates from suppliers in excess of £100,000 with ongoing operating cost savings upon full implementation of over £500,000.

Industrial and Commercial Cleaning Group

Provided recommendations and an action plan to this UK publicly listed business services group during a crucial period in the group's development involving acquisitions, re-engineering of lending facilities, stock exchange regulatory matters and the installation of new MIS/IT systems. Benefits included elimination of £1 million of overdraft requirement.

Listed plc Takeover Bid

Provided input and advice to bidder and financing Merchant Bankers in respect of a project involving a proposed £25 million acquisition of a UK publicly listed company including detailed due diligence work and negotiations with bankers and shareholders.

Multi Site Fashion Retailer

Provided advice and support in the due diligence process when undergoing venture capital investment and subsequently assisted in the ongoing monitoring and refinancing of £5 million of bank debt.

Multi Site Electrical Retailer

Provided support to this National Electrical Retail chain during a reorganization and a subsequent sale process. Benefits included recovery of over £100,000 of rebates from suppliers.

Listed Sporting Group

Provided and initiated much improved systems of financial forecasting and enhanced marketing led initiatives to boost customer throughput and spend for a UK Soccer and Rugby Football group of companies. Retail income increased by over 30%.

Listed International Textile and Apparel Group

Retained consultants lead all aspects of the refinancing of over £145 million of bank lines in London and New York including the disposal of a number of businesses for over £50 million and raising over £30 million in fresh equity.

Medical and Pharmaceutical Group

Retained consultants played a central role in the review of the business and the definition of a new group strategy and its subsequent implementation. Business disposals of over £25 million together with strategic acquisitions and investments of almost £10 million were subsequently achieved and as a result of the value added the group subsequently able to be sold for £90 million.
