Isis Electronics Ltd: Background Isis Engineering Director, Arthur Raine, has over 30 years experience in electronic design and manufacture. Prior to founding Isis in 1996, Arthur enjoyed a successful career as an Electronics Engineer at Marconi, EMI and Plessey. His work in the defence field included: the design of electronic missile fuse systems for use in air to air and ground to air missiles (Blowpipe and Skyflash); RAF audio communications using custom design modular amplifiers, able to tolerate high radio frequency levels; and design and support for ILS and VOR systems in civil and military airports CAT III - CAT I. As an independent consultant, Arthur worked on a number of high- profile projects, including the design of emergency evacuation systems for high rise office buildings for British Petroleum. Since its inception, Isis has specialised in the field of electronic measurement. Projects have ranged from a system for the measurement of moisture in grain, to highly-specialised work on the development of fringe counters for the United Kingdom's prestigious National Physical Laboratory. Arthur Raine lives in a suburb of London with three computers, 30 years' issues of Wireless World, (now  known as Electronics World) and four tyres from a 1963 Morris Minor.
