Component Information
The high magnification freeze frame pictures of the Orisvision system will help support your argument and lead to increased patient understanding for the reason for the treatment. Increased understanding aids in the acceptance of further work and more costly treatments. This is also useful for professional dental cleaning where the treatment results can be made immediately visible on the monitor. A comparison of the dental situation before and after cleaning is always useful.
Using the Orisivision system connected to a videoprinter or office computer system will enable you to compliment patient files with expressive pictures. This documentation can support long term diagnostics and can be used as part of a joint assessment with other dentists.
System Survey Dentascope
Orisvision is a family of high resolution CCD cameras, which are combined with a cold light source and a new design of dentascope with a universal optical system. A wide range of accessories and the well balanced feature concept adapts the Orisvision to each specific requirement. Orisvision - the video system for dentists will open new dimensions in dentistry diagnostics. The ergonomically designed dentascope is manufactured from stainless steel. All wires and the the light guide are collected in one silcone tube, which is completely detachable from the control unit. The universal lens system inside the dentascope features high luminous intensity and a great depth of focus. This ensures a working range between 10 and 70mm without refocussing, whereby the whole working range leads from 2 to 250mm. The integrated zero force touch buttons are used to activate the peripheral devices (e.g. video printer) connected to the control unit.
Control Unit Variants
A video processor and cold light source are combined in one slim housing. The control buttons on the foil sealed front panel are kept to a minimum for ease of use, with other features automaticly controlled.
The "White Balance" is set by touching one button and is then stored in memory. The illumination control with its fast acting shutter works continuously to keep the image brightness at a median level independent of the illumination situation.
The lightsource can be switched off separately when the surrounding illumination is sufficient, reducing noise levels and increasing lamp life. When the light source is in use it is automatically controlled using the carriage on the side of the unit - remove from carriage and light is produced, insert into carriage and the light source returns to standby mode.
Orisvision with panarama unit

PC connection
There is a connection to a PC available so that you can feed the video signal into a frame grabber in your PC for further image processing and storage.
Basic units
All members of the Orisvision family consist of a control unit, equipped with a high resolution colour CCD camera, and a powerful halogen light source, and a dentascope with two zero force touch buttons. The buttons can be configured at manufacture to control different functions.
The video signal is provided at the rear panel in VHS and S-VHS-standard. A videoprinter can be connected to the control unit, and controlled if desired by the dentascope.
The basic unit can then be upgraded with the following components:

Video memory
An additional internal memory enables you to freeze the current image on the monitor or to display 4 different freeze frames simultaneously for precise examination.

Panorama unit
The panarama unit is a separate camera head. This can be used to display shots of the entire mouth. Using the touch button on the dentascope you can easily switch between the dentascope and panarama unit. The camera head has a standard "C mount thread" connection.

For more information please contact us, other camera systems available are the ecoCAM, SwiftCAM, TRIstar and Otoview.
