Seventeenth Century Historical Context

Here is a fairly arbitrary selection of the major English historical events of the seventeenth century.

1642 - 1652: English Civil War.
1649: Charles I is executed.
1653 - 1659: The Commonwealth Government, during which Oliver Cromwell became the Lord Protector.
1660: Charles II restored to the throne.
1666: Great Fire of London.
