Dance Links: Miscellaneous
Here are some links that don't deal with dance, but do cover
closely associated fields like music and other traditions.
- The Bagpipe Web
- The title says it all
- Doug
Plummer's Contra Dance Photos
- Doug is a professional photographer as well as being a contra
dancer. His shots manage to capture the movement and flow of
a community dance better than any other photos I have seen. I'm
impressed. You should take a look.
- Eric
Foxley's Music Database
- A database of over 500 traditional British Folk tunes in
the Nottingham electronic format. Details of the format and tools
for analysing and printing it are also available.
- Richard
Robinson's Tunebook
- This is a collection of traditional tunes from Ireland, England,
Scotland and the Northern Isles, Scandinavia and further afield
:- jigs and reels, polskas and schottisches, waltzes, bourrees,
horos and more.
- Hobgoblin Music
- Hobgoblin are the largest source of early music and folk
instruments in Europe, they deal in music and recordings. Their
catalogue is being made available on line.
