We believe that a funeral should be as individual as the person who has died. We therefore, offer a wide choice of services, which can be tailored to the needs, wishes and requirements of each family

Funeral Services

Our staff are available to give personal and discreet service at any time of the day or night and at weekends.

Everything can be left in our care, giving peace of mind to you and dignity to the deceased.

We possess a fleet of luxury Daimler hearses and limousines. Our luxury limousine's will provide comfortable seating for six persons. Please let us know as soon as possible if extra or special transport is required. We will be pleased to help in any way we can.

Flowers

Floral tributes may be delivered to our premises on the morning of the funeral. If required a list of flowers received can be made and given to the family.

Newspaper Notices

We will be pleased to give advice on the compilation of death notices, obituary notices and acknowledgements to be placed in local and national newspapers. Some papers will only accept notices given by Funeral Directors or agents. We can be responsible for the insertions and the charges added to our account.

Private Chapel

Our private chapel of rest is quiet and peaceful with tasteful furnishings. Often relatives and friends can find considerable comfort in being able to visit the deceased to pay their last respects. We can arrange visits during weekdays between 10.00am and 4.00pm.

Repatriation to Countries Outside of England and Wales

Where it is desired to return the deceased person or the cremated reamins of the deceased person to the country of birth or domicile, there are regulations and formalities to be complied with before such repatriation can be effected. Edwin Harris & Sons have considerable experience in the handling of such cases and are always ready to give assistance in obtaining the necessary certificates and forms. We will also make all arrangements regarding the provision of the regulation containers, the transportation to the airport and reservation of space on board.

Repatriation to the United Kingdom from Other Countries

Special regulations and formalities are also required for the repatriation to the United Kingdom of persons who have died abroad and we are fully able to make all necessary arrangements in such cases, including assisting with the necessary paperwork and transportation details.

The Social Fund

Help may be avaialabe towards to cost of the funeral if you or your partner are in receipt of one of the following:

Income Support, Income Support based on Job Seeker Allowance or Housing Benefit.
