The Prostate Cancer Charity

Don't let prostate cancer be a man's last order

Prostate cancer is the most common male cancer in the UK, with over 27,000 men diagnosed each year and 10,000 men dying.

Despite these statistics thousands of men over 45 do not know they have a prostate gland, what it does or how it can go wrong.

To raise awareness of prostate cancer and the prostate gland, The Prostate Cancer Charity is launching a ‘'Real Man'' pub campaign during its Prostate Cancer Awareness Week 21 st March-27 th March 2005.

We have designed special drip mats and posters for community pubs whose customers are mainly men over 45, encouraging them to the “Real Man Test”, a fun quiz which asks them to answer questions, enter a prize- winning competition and learn about the prostate gland. If you live in Bradford, Birmingham, Bristol, Liverpool or Glasgow you can help us by enlisting the support of your local pub or social club to host the campaign.

If you live in other areas please contact us anyway as we can still supply packs to assist your efforts in raising awareness that week.

If you would like to get involved and order a free Pub Pack containing posters and drip mats to distribute to outlets in your local community, please call Vanessa Cripps on 020 8222 7676 or download a Pub Pack order form from www.prostate-cancer.org.uk.
