San Diego - Oct 07, 2003
The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWAR), Charleston has awarded Titan Corp a four-year (one base year plus three option years), indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract having a potential value, with options, of $36 million to provide engineering and technical services to support Joint Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Operations.

"This award significantly adds to Titan's existing role in the exciting and expanding world of unmanned systems," said Gene Ray, Titan's chairman, president, and CEO.

"The company's selection to replace an incumbent competitor demonstrates Titan's extensive range of operational expertise combined with aviation systems engineering capability applied in the unique UAV 'space'."

Under the contract, Titan will provide hardware integration, systems engineering, software engineering and software integration to SPAWAR, as well as other Department of Defense and governmental agencies.

This effort will include systems planning, prototyping, and systems testing. Work will be performed in Charleston, S.C. and Norfolk, VA.
