"Vibrant, cosmopolitan and culturally rich" best describes this regional capital of Southwest England. Celebrated historical achievements are still clearly visible and blend gracefully with the many Bristol-based world-class organisations. A beautiful and friendly city with some of the best nightlife, entertainment, jobs and attractions Britain has to offer.
More than just a regional capital the city is home to Massive Attack, Portishead, The Chicken Run, Robinson Crusoe, Blackbeard, Clifton Suspension Bridge, Concorde, 2 massive universities, 6 major free festivals a year, free modern art galleries, free museums, celebrated maritime exhibitions, 2 cathedrals, picturesque inland harbourside and waterfront, woodlands, canals, gorges, cliffs and hilly parkland walks all within the city.
Bristol has easy access to Bath, Wells, Cheddar and Glastonbury by local bus or bike and is surrounded by the classic English countryside of the Mendip and Cotswold Hills.
The award winning friendly, secure and comfortable backpackers hostel caters for both the short stay visitor and many of those that end up staying much longer. Bristol has excellent all year employment opportunities for those wishing to help finance their trip around Europe or just improve their English.

Please be aware - Bristol is not a quiet city and we are in the centre of it. The level of nightlife noise from the street can be high especially on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
