TRAVEL

Whether you are a frequent visitor to our shop, or you're a tourist here on vacation, this page will provide you with all you need to know to get to us!

BY CAR
BY BUS
BY TRAIN

Traveling by car to Andy's is certainly not the cheapest option, but for some is the easiest...

The centre of London now has congestion charging which includes the West End where our shop is situated. You will have to pay the £5 congestion charge to get to our shop if you travel into the zone between 7am to 6.30pm during weekdays. Also, shortly after the congestion charging started, parking prices were also increased! So, on top of that, expect to pay a whopping £5 an hour to park in Denmark Street, and a little less if parking in a standard car park. And be well aware that the Traffic Wardens in this area take great pride in issuing as many parking fines in a day as possible!!

Yyou do NOT have to pay on public holidays or weekends.

Our best suggestion if you need to drive would be to park your car just outside the congestion charge zone, and catch a bus to Charing Cross Road.

One of the easiest ways to pay the congestion charge is to do it online. It's very quick to do (less than a minute), and once your card has been authorised, you get a receipt that you can print on your printer, or save to your hard drive.

London's Buses have improved dramatically over the years, and certainly offers you one of the cheapest alternatives for traveling to Andy's....

You can catch the 14, 19, 24, 29, 38 and the 176 Buses, which all stop in Charing Cross Road. It is then just a case of jumping off, and a short walk down Denmark Street to our shop!

A 'one day bus pass', which will get you around the whole of the city on any bus costs just £2. There is no time limit, and you can buy the ticket on the same day you want to travel from any roadside ticket machine.

Alternatively, you could consider getting a 'one day travel card', which not only allows you to get on all the buses and the various bus routes around London, but also gets you on all the London underground trains, certain land line trains, all London buses and the Docklands Light Railway throughout the whole of the city (within zones 1-4) for £4.50. Again, you can buy these on the same day you want to travel, with no time limits. You can get these easily from train stations and certain newsagents.

Traveling by train, although occasionally hot and uncomfortable in the summer, is a quick and easy way to travel into and around the city...

Conveniently, Andy's is situated a short distance (less than 2 min walk) from Tottenham Court Road Underground Station.

If you are new to the London train network, it can all seem a little daunting at first, but it is actually very simple.

You have a wide variety of train tickets available to you for traveling, but for most visitors and tourists, a one day travel card is the easiest as it gets you on any underground line, certain land line trains, all buses, and the Docklands Light Railway for just £4.50. (within Zones 1-4 only. Check map below before purchasing the ticket).

Depending on which way you are traveling, you have the option of either the Northern Line (Black) or the Central Line (Red), both of which will take you to Tottenham Court Road. Download the underground map (below), to find out which stations you will need to change at to get on to these lines.

Those of you coming in from North London (Chingford, Enfield Town etc) with One, West Anglia (formally WAGN) can head straight for the London Liverpool Street train terminal, and jump on the central line from there.

When you arrive at Totteham Court Road Underground Station, simply follow the exit signs, and when you reach the top of the escalators, head for EXIT 4.

This will take you out on to Charing Cross Road, with the London Astoria Music Venue, situated opposite you. Turn left and walk down Charing Cross Road until you reach Denmark Street (less than 1 min). Turn left again, and walk down to the other end of Denmark Street and we are on your left hand side. If you are unsure of anything, please do not hesitate to call us on 020 7916 5080
