Opaque were formed in the summer of 2001. With various line up changes the current line up has been secure since early 2003, with the new arrival of DJ BennyT in October of last year. The band are based in Peterborough, but are playing both locally & in London. They have self released three cd's, the most recent being Organically Modifield, released 20th September 2004. Opaque's musical tastes vary immensely and is perhaps a reason the band do not particularly sound like anyone else. Their influences include Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Lloyd Cole & The Commotions, The Smiths, The Stone Roses, Nirvana, Blur, Massive Attack, Coldplay, to name but a few.
